1. First of all, make sure you've enabled SSL VPN boost in your 'Setting' panel. Then, please download OpenVPN 2.1.3 the open source software from OpenVPN official Website. Then double click on the file to start the setup process.
2. In the open setup wizard, click 'Next'.
4. Keep the default selection and click 'Next'
5. Change the destination folder if you want. Pay attention to the path of the destination folder as we will setup configuration files in that folder later. Then click 'Install'.
6. After the installation is complete, click 'Next'
7. Click 'Finish'. You can skip the Readme file as we will cover the notes in this guide.
8. Then, open the folder named 'config', which is in the destination folder where your OpenVPN is installed as noted in Step 5. Download the GoVPNGo configuration package for Windows, unzip it and put all the files into the 'config' folder.
(These files are SSL certificates and keys that will be used by your client to authorize itself to our SSL VPN servers as well as setting up encryption. GoVPNGo SSL VPN configuration also included. Very important!)
9. Find the 'OpenVPN GUI' shortcut on your desktop, right click on it; then click 'Properties' at the end of the open menu.
10. In the open dialog, select the 'Compatibility' tab, and tick the box before 'Run this program as administrator'. Click 'OK'.
(The OpenVPN program needs to run with the administrator's previlige to make changes to the routing table of your Windows system.)
11. Time to start the VPN connection. Just double click the 'OpenVPN GUI' shortcut on your desktop to start the program. Then find the OpenVPN icon on your system tray, right click on it to open its menu; click 'Connect'.
12. In the open window, enter your VPN username, which is your registered email, and your password, which is the password you set when registration. Click 'OK'. There you go! You have boosted to SSL VPN. Happy VPNing!
13. If you want to have a look at the connection log, you can click 'View Log' from the OpenVPN system tray menu. The log message is very helpful for us to diagnose your connection problem. Do send a copy of the log to our support team if you encounter problems with SSL VPN boost.
